Thermal pools Oravice (municipal swimming pool)
Oravice is the only place in Orava with natural geothermal water. In addition to the famous aquapark, the town of Tvrdošín also operates a smaller and quieter thermal swimming pool with two outdoor pools, which offer a view of the surrounding hills of the Western Tatras.
What will you see?
- two outdoor pools with a water temperature of approximately 34 – 38 °C
- mineralized sulfate-calcium-magnesium water with a higher iron content
- massages and rehabilitation procedures during operation
- fast food restaurant directly on site
Good to know
- The swimming pool is open all year round, every day from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM - it is especially popular in the evening after a hike or skiing.
- Payment is made exclusively in cash, residents of Tvrdošín have a discount.
- An ideal combination with a walk through Juráňova Valley or the A. Kocyán educational trail.
- Expect 2-3 hours, bring a towel and flip-flops.
- Swimming is pleasant even in winter, when steam lingers above the surface and the surrounding slopes are covered in snow.
