Natural salt inhaler Oravská Polhora
Oravská Polhora has used its most precious natural resource, the salty iodine-bromine water from under Babeja Hora, right in the village. A wooden natural inhaler from 2019 stands next to the football field - a modern form of castles that were built in spa towns in the past.
What will you see?
The wooden structure consists of panels filled with branches, over which mineral water flows freely from the Slaná voda spring. The water evaporates over a large area and the air around it is saturated with tiny droplets of salt and iodine. The result is a microclimate similar to the seashore. All you have to do is sit down, breathe slowly and relax for about half an hour.
Good to know
- The inhaler is in the center of the village, so it can be combined with a walk or with the path to the Slaná voda spring.
- The stay is suitable for both children and adults, 20 to 30 minutes is recommended.
- People with serious medical conditions should first consult a doctor about inhalation.
- The building is open-air, it is best to visit it in dry and warmer weather.
