Rozhľadňa Brabírka – LokcaRozhľadňa Brabírka – Lokca

On the forested Brabírka hill (945 m above sea level) above Lokca and Oravská Jasenica, a wooden lookout tower has stood since 2018, looking more like an enlarged Orava bell tower than a classic lookout tower. It was built by local enthusiasts and is now one of the most popular family trips in Upper Orava.

What will you see?

From the upper floor, where steep stairs lead, there is a circular view of the Orava Dam, Babia Hora, Pilsko and the ridges of Oravska Magura. On good visibility, you can see as far as the Tatras and Veľký Choč.

How to get there

The most famous climb starts at the bus stop in the center of Lokce. Following the yellow sign along forest paths, you will reach the top in about 1 hour 45 minutes. A shorter, unmarked route leads from Oravská Jasenica (about 1:20 h), you can leave your car here at the "Pod Brabírkou" stop. The trip is easy, the circuit is approximately 6 km long.
