The new observation tower over Trstená is growing in the Pod Stráňou area on the north side of the city, on a hill near the large TRSTENÁ sign. The steel tower is approximately 21 meters high and has five height levels connected by double-arm staircases. The observation platforms are expanded in two places, and the highest platform will have a telescope.

The observation tower offers a view of Trstená, the Orava Valleys, the Orava Dam and the surrounding landscape. The area will be complemented by information boards and relaxation furniture. The tower has ecological lighting powered by photovoltaics directly at the building, so it shines far into the evening.

A new 145-meter-long and 2-meter-wide trail leads to the tower, which follows the original hiking route. There is a terrain staircase in the steeper section.

The lookout tower was created as part of the project Development of the Tourist Infrastructure of the Joint Orava from the Interreg Poland - Slovakia 2021 - 2027 program (contribution of 368 thousand euros). The partners are the municipality of Bobrov and the Polish communes of Jabłonka and Spytkowice - the project connects attractions on the Slovak and Polish sides of Orava.

  • Height approx. 21 m, 5 levels, 2 observation decks
  • Telescope on the highest platform
  • Evening lighting from photovoltaics
  • Access via a 145 m walkway from Pod Stráňou Street
  • The city will officially open it after the work is completed and the building is approved.
