Penzión Stárek is located in the Malá Fatra National Park in the settlement of Štefanová, which can be reached from the village of Terchová, which is a center of tourism, folk and folklore traditions.

Visitors can take away profound experiences from hiking in the enchanting nature. Intertwining meadows, forests and rock formations (Veľký Rozsutec — 1610 m above sea level) colored by the rushing stream.

Probably the most famous place in Malá Fatra is Jánošík's Holes, consisting of 3 parts - Dolné diery, Nové diery and Horné diery. From Terchová, the settlement of Štefanová, it is possible to get to all three.

An educational trail leads through Dolné diery between rock formations, along which you will come to two waterfalls belonging to the Dierový stream. You will come across four waterfalls in Nové diery, which, like Dolné diery, belongs to the Rozsutec nature reserve.

In it, specifically between the Veľký and Malý Rozsutec hills, there are also Horné diery.
