Near the Orava River in the historic core of Dolný Kubín stands a two-story house with a craftsman's past. It was built in the 18th century as a dyeing house and was later associated with several famous personalities of the region. From 1953 to 1973, Teodor Herkeľ Florin – a poet, publicist, diplomat and educational worker, after whom the house is named – lived here.

What will you see?

  • A commemorative exhibition dedicated to TH Florin and other personalities connected with the house.
  • Spaces in which the Orava Museum prepares temporary exhibitions.
  • The original architecture of an old Cuban artisan house with a garden.

Good to know

  • The tour usually lasts 30-45 minutes, depending on the current exhibition.
