Observation tower at Marysina Polana – Lipnica Wielka (Poland)
Marysina Polana, officially Polana Piaskowa, is located in the territory of Lipnica Wielka, just a short distance from the Slovak border near Bobrov. At the end of 2019, the municipality built a wooden observation tower with a covered rest area.
What will you see?
The tower measures 13.7 m and stands on a clearing at an altitude of approximately 711 m. Despite its modest height, it offers an exceptional view: to the south the entire Tatras ridge, below you the Orava Basin with the surface of the Orava Dam and to the north the massif of Babeja Hora. There is a gazebo with a table and benches near the tower.
Good to know
- From the Slovak side, it is a short turn at the Bobrov – Winiarczykówka border crossing. It is about 1.5 km to the tower along a gravel road.
- There is a small parking lot right in the clearing.
- The entire stop takes about an hour. The most beautiful light is in the morning and at sunset.
